As October ends....

It's hard to believe another month has almost come and gone. The students are well into the swing of Grade Three!  The students have completed their first unit test in Math- and survived! It was a new experience for all.  We have just a few weeks left in Term 1 so we have many busy weeks ahead. The students will have a Science test in the weeks ahead. We study notes a few at a time. Please be sure to review these notes with your child when on the homework. We will mark the date of the test under the Important Dates section as we get closer to the end of the unit. Please keep an eye out for it!

Please also continue to have your children read aloud nightly in both English and French. Tomorrow you will receive  a sheet reviewing the importance of fluency in reading. These are some of the things we will be looking for when your child's reading is assessed. As well, continue to record both French and English reading in their reading logs.

Friday is Halloween. Please have your child bring their costume to school. We will be changing at lunch. Also, weapons which accompany costumes are not permitted in school.

Have a wonderful week! It won't be long before we meet to discuss your child's progress!
