As November ends...

We have had a busy month of November and December is looking to be just as busy. We'd like to thank all parents who were able to visit Chapters on MQP night it was a great success! The Grade Four Choir did a great job performing.

There are many upcoming events to check out on our Important Dates Calendar- all links are updated regularly. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email your classroom teacher.
The students have worked very hard this term and we are so proud of them. Term reports go home Monday, November 24th and don't forget to schedule your child's interview via OPTIS which is currently open.

We have many fun events coming up in the month of December for both our school and classes!
Thank you again for all your support this term!

As October ends....

It's hard to believe another month has almost come and gone. The students are well into the swing of Grade Three!  The students have completed their first unit test in Math- and survived! It was a new experience for all.  We have just a few weeks left in Term 1 so we have many busy weeks ahead. The students will have a Science test in the weeks ahead. We study notes a few at a time. Please be sure to review these notes with your child when on the homework. We will mark the date of the test under the Important Dates section as we get closer to the end of the unit. Please keep an eye out for it!

Please also continue to have your children read aloud nightly in both English and French. Tomorrow you will receive  a sheet reviewing the importance of fluency in reading. These are some of the things we will be looking for when your child's reading is assessed. As well, continue to record both French and English reading in their reading logs.

Friday is Halloween. Please have your child bring their costume to school. We will be changing at lunch. Also, weapons which accompany costumes are not permitted in school.

Have a wonderful week! It won't be long before we meet to discuss your child's progress!

Welcome back!

We would like to welcome all the students and parents back to another great year at MQP! We are eager to get to know your precious children. We use our website as a communication between home and school. Please feel free to reference it to find class schedules and homework postings. It is updated regularly.

We often send class messages home via Tinyletter. We ask that you all sign up for this communication program. You'll need to subscribe to it by going to the links section at the top of the homepage screen. Please click on your child's teacher's name-  Mme McGrath's News or Mme Young's News. Once there, follow the prompts by entering your email address. You can sign up with more than one email address- just go through the same process a second time. We will send a test message to the group before curriculum night.

We look forward to meeting all of you on September 18th @ 7 pm!
