February Updates

It's been a busy month! With storm closures and such, we finally pulled off the much delayed Valentine celebration. A special thank you to all for sending cards, gifts and class treats. As well, we would like to thank you for providing us with coffee, muffins and lunch during Teacher Appreciation week.

Students have written there most recent Unit Quiz in Math. You should be really proud of them as this is a new adventure for them in Grade Three! Please sign and return the quiz at your earliest convenience.

We are currently working on the second half of the Unit, subtraction. Please take time to practice and review single digit addition with your child. This will certainly assist in making them more confident and successful. This week we will be sending home the four subtraction strategies for review. We ask that you do the first two strategies this week,  and the last two next week, as we are still working on the last two in class this week.

In Science we are currently working on our Unit on Forces. stayed tuned for upcoming assessment in the next few weeks on this Unit. You will see a homework message to review notes on this Unit, as the Unit progresses.

We have our upcoming Auction on April 8th, it's a great fundraiser and provides our school with much needed materials to support our curriculum. We will let you know when tickets become available.

The students were very successful with their first reading challenge! Please continue to keep reading, reading and reading! We will have new reading logs to go home on Monday, thank you for all your continued home efforts!
